Agenda for March 4

These are the things which we should be working on during the week from February 18th to February 24th. This semester we will be going through the book of 1 Peter with the assistance of “The New American Commentary: 1, 2 Peter, Jude” by Thomas R. Schreiner. You can find information on the book here. Listen to John Piper’s sermons on 1 Peter 2.11-12 (here) and Mark Driscoll (here).  These are two amazing verses and highly practical to how we live our lives as followers of Christ.

Scripture memory: Titus 2.11-14,

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” (NKJV)

Scripture reading and meditation: Hebrews 8

Book reading: Chapter III: Living as Aliens to Bring Glory to God in a Hostile World, Section 1 (1 Peter 2.11-12); pp.118-124

Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you doing this each week, Todd. You’re an amazingly gifted friend, and we’re blessed to have you in the church and in the Bible study. Thanks.
